Home care packages provide assistance for people to remain safely and independently in their own homes. They can help you with personal care (e.g. showering, dressing, mobility, meals) or general support (e.g. cleaning, washing, basic home maintenance, health support, transport, clinical care). The Consumer Directed Care approach (CDC) gives you the power to coordinate the service you want, that have been approved by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). The emphasis is about building on what you can do rather than focusing on things you can’t do.
