Living with dementia: Creating dementia-friendly communities

The greatest cause of disability in older Australians (aged over 65 years) is dementia.  According Alzheimer’s Australia, there are nearly 350,000 Australians living with dementia, with one person diagnosed every six minutes.  There are over 25,000 Australians under 65 years who are living with younger-onset dementia.
